Occurrence Maps

Use our map to learn about CVBDs and their vectors by country or region.

World Map

Each country in the world has its specific occurrence of CVBDs, depending on climate and endemic vectors. Based on current scientific knowledge and feed-back from experts around the world, the CVBD World Occurrence Map presents country-specific situations in an easy-to-grasp way. The map allocates each country to certain occurrence levels, as explained in the legend, by assessing how many different CVBDs are known to be endemic. Within a country, the occurrence of a disease may vary. Furthermore, single autochthonous cases may occur, but are not implemented into the map at the moment.

The selection of a country provides more detailed information in this specific country about the reported diseases, their pathogens and vectors, and in some cases other additional information.

The selection of one of the listed diseases provides an overview on the occurrence of this specific disease worldwide.
